Florida Lawyers Mutual team members proudly participated in this year’s 15th Annual Kids of HOPE Back-to-School Bash in service of local philanthropic organization HOPE Helps.
Based in Oviedo (just outside of Orlando, Florida), HOPE Helps is a 501(c)(3) entity dedicated to preventing and reducing homelessness in Central Florida. The group’s focus is helping individuals in need to become self-sufficient through housing, outreach, prevention, and education.
For the second year in a row, Florida Lawyers Mutual team members donated a wide range of school supplies to local children and families in need. Included among the donations were pencils, pens, paper, scissors, crayons, glue sticks, notebooks, backpacks, and more.
As a result of the HOPE Helps drive, more than 300 Central Florida children were equipped with the bulk of their back-to-school essentials for the coming school season.
The Back-to-School Bash is an initiative of the Kids of HOPE Enrichment program, which aims to give children nutritious breakfasts and lunches during all school breaks throughout the calendar year.
