Mr. Williams became a director of Florida Lawyers Mutual Insurance Company and served on the Board beginning in 1992 and through June 2025 when he retired from the Board. During his tenure, Mr. Williams served as Vice Chair of the Board of Directors; Chair of the Underwriting, Claims, and Succession Committees; and a member of the Nominating, Audit, Executive, and Investment Committees. He also served as Secretary of Florida Lawyers Insurance Agency and a Director of Lawyers Reinsurance.
Mr. Williams is retired from the active practice of law. Until March 2011, he was a shareholder in the firm of Ausley & McMullen, P.A., and was associated with that firm from 1972. He graduated from the College of Law, Florida State University in 1972 and received a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from the University of Florida in 1966.
